Manchester United begin their quest to regain the Premier League title with a game against the opponents who cost them it last season.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side looked to have the league in the bag when two goals up at home to Everton in April before goals from Nikica Jelavic and Steven Pienaar gave Manchester City renewed hope.
Ferguson is anxious not to be denied again. So anxious, in fact, that he has splashed out £24million to bring PFA Player of the Year and last season's Golden Boot winner Robin van Persie to Old Trafford.
